Mizuno is a musician who has gained a good reputation for new and experimental sounds on the 5 string-wood bass.
2011
・Performed solo concert for the memorial of the CD "Sound of Memory" release with the guest Satomi Imai (actress).
・Performed the show case with Miwa Inaba (koto) and Hiromi Nishida (violin) at "Otoyakintoki" in Nishiogikubo, Tokyo.
・Directed the music of the Usato's fashion show & concert at
KI-O-KU in Ome, Tokyo. This is the 15 anniversary and the charity event
for the
disaster of East Japan.
・Participated in the charity event "Art and Concert" for the disaster
of East Japan at Mayugura in Ome, Tokyo. Played with the piano player
Kyoko Murosaka.
・Participated in the contemporary art exhibition "Harmannshof-Dark Light" in Hannover, Germany.
Collaborated with the artist Mitsunori Kurashige. And had concerts of
the bass solo and the duet with the pianist-Constantin Barzantny-
at the studio and the atelier in Hannover city.Three newspapers admired them.
・Released the new CD "FUKUSHIMA" against the nuclear generators with the pianist Kyoko Murosaka.
We are going to donate to the Civic Nuclear Information Center in Japan.
2010
・Directed the music of the play "three sisters" by Chekhov in Niigata city.
・Performed the story reading with Tetsuya Itoh (actor) and Naoko Iwamoto (soprano voice)in Nakano,Tokyo and Yokohama.
・Performed the solo concert with the poem reading by Satomi Imai (actress) at Striped House Gallery in Roppongi.
2009
・Participated in the Mitsunori Kurashige's collaboration at Gallery Polaris in Kamakura. 3days in spring. Mitsunori Kurashige
(contemporary art), Haruo Higuma (visual),Shunsuke Mizuno (bass).
・Performed the charity concert for the children in Gaza area, Palestine
at the Asagaya Church,Tokyo.Duet with Miwa Inaba (Koto).
・Participated in the Performance Festival-Aizu Art College '09- with Mariko Satomi(dance) and Kota Nakazato(DJ)
・Performed the bass solo concerts and the collaboration with Yuji Ueno(flower art) at Striped House Gallery, Tokyo.
・Participated in the Ome Art Jam 2009,Tokyo as the performing arts with
Masato Ishikawa (space), Usaburo Sato (cloth),Yuji Ueno (flower).
・The song "Rain in the distance" released from OCM records was elected in the Asian song category of JFP Awards that is in
Nashville,US.
2008
・Held two nights memorial concerts for the CD release at“KI・O・KU”in
Ome, Tokyo. Guest performers were Katsuhito Nakazato(photo slide),
Hiromi Nishida
(violin), Miwa Inaba (koto), Toshiaki Yokota (hue,flute) and Tsurusuga Hanayagi (mai-traditional Japanese dance).
・Participated in TPAM (Tokyo Performing Arts Market). Performed the
bass solo concert at Striped House Gallery in Roppongi for 3days.
・ Produced and performed the Japanese creative dance “Kawa
(river)”and“Akashi /Genji Monogatari” with Tsurusuga Hanayagi (mai) and
Chakkiri (voice rira)
at “Shouraian” in Arashiyama, Kyoto.
・His music was adopted in " Kirschblüten Hanami "-director:Doris
DÖrrie, nominated film at the Berlin International Film Festival.
2007
・Composed and played the music for the “Heike story” performed with the
actress ,Yuko Senga, at Striped House Gallery in Roppongi and others.
・Performed with the contemporary artist, Mistunori Kurashige, in the ACKid2007 at Kidoairakku Hall,Tokyo.
・Released two CDs “Pale night trip” and “A song of the world heritage--article 9”. And toured for the CD release in Hokkaido.
・Played with the guitar player, Hitoshi Seki at Yakumo, Sapporo and Bibai city.
2006
・Performed with Miwa Inaba (Koto) at Otayakintoki in Nishi- Ogikubo,Tokyo.
・Participated in the 22nd Tokyo Summer Festival 2006, performed with
Miwa Inaba (Koto),Shunsuke Kimura (Japanese flute,Tugaru- shamisen)and
Ryo Watanabe (perc)
at the temple Honnoji in Suginami,Tokyo.
・Participated in the 9th Earth Harmony in Hiroshima, performed with
Hanayagi-Turusuga (Japanese traditional dance) in front of the
Hiroshima Peace Memorial
(Genbaku Dome) on the 6th of August.
2005
・Released the OCM compilation CD "Slow time" with Ozella Music in
Germany, and this CD was admired at many radio stations in Europe.
・"Under the Full Bloom of Cherry Blossoms" at Yurinkan in Kiryu city and "the tale of Heike" at Enmeiji in Saitama city.
・Performed with Toshiaki Yokota ,flute and bamboo flute player,atJoushouji in Akabane and at Nirayama Culture Senter Hall
in Shizuoka.
・Directed the music of Usato's special Fashon show "Kukai" at Mayugura in Ome city.
・Started the bass solo performance "Cafe in the Dark" at Cafe Slow in Kokubunji once a year.
・Held three performances of OCM 10th Anniversary and also the memory of the releasing CD in Germany.
1) Duet Concert with Miwa Inaba (Koto) at "Fura" in Narita.
2) Performance by Inaba, Mizuno and Katuhito Nakazato(photographer) at Mayugura in Ome city.
3) Memorial Concert by Mizuno,Inaba, Shunsuke Kimaura (Fue and
Tsugaru Shamisen), Ryo Watanabe (percussion), Hiroki Miyano (guitar)
and Tsurusuga(Mai)
at Lutheran Ichigaya Center in Tokyo.
・Participated in Katuhito Nakazato's "the Floating cabin project" with
Yuji Ueno, flower performer, at the riverside of Yokokawa in Iwaki
city.
・Composed the music of the 50th Anniversary of Tachibana Theatrikal Unit, and it was held at Hita Civic Hall in Oita.
・Performed with Shizzle Ohtaka (vocal & voice) and NamaeEm(vocal)at
Fura in Narita. It was held in the quite darkness. Mr.Emis blind.We
all had a special
experience.
2004
・Participated in "The One World Beat Music Festival 2004", and
performed with Miwa Inaba,Koto player, at the Striped House Gallery in
Roppongi Tokyo.
・Collaborated with Katsuhito Nakazato,photographer,at Gallery Chimenkanoya in Nakano ,Tokyo.
・Toured with Miwa Inaba at the Ashiya Gallery in Ashiya and Momono- iein Osaka.
・Directed and performed the music of "Usato's fashion show and
concertat Sakura Factory in Ome and at Cafe Slow in Kokubunji,Tokyo.
・Performed with Minehaha,relaxation and spritual singer,at Fura in Narita ,Chiba.

・Participated in "The One World Beat Music Festival 2003" and performed with koto and piano player at Ome Mayugura.
・Directed the music of "Usato's fashion show and concert" at Cafe Slow
in Kokubunji Tokyo.(Usato is a natural and organic cloths from
chain-mai,Thailand.)

・Released the CD "Slow Songs" with OCM, and performed at "Aoyama Mandala" in Tokyo.
・Toured with Shingo Ikegami (Koto player) and played at "Guuwa"and"Contrabass house" in Naha, Okinawa.
・Performed with Yuho Furusawa 'JIUTAMAI'(female Nou dancer) in Kiryu and Tokyo.
・Composed and played theatrical music of Yuko Senga's "Greek Tragedy"in Kanazawa, Niigata and Tokyo.

・Performed a concert for the release of the CD "Beyond the Blue" at the Ichigaya Lutheran Center in Tokyo.
・Composed music for the DVD "Visual Poem -Yatugatake mountains of four seasons"with NHK-software.
・Performed with Shou-myou(Buddhist Nitta's chant) at Kanazawa FM Music Festival.
・Composed and performed theatrical music of "Kenji Miyazawa's world" with the Yuko Senga unit at Kawanishi Friendly Praza in
Yamagata pref.
2000
・Performed with the Gagaku players (Shou, Hichiriki) in Yokohama.
・He appeared on the TV Tokyo, and his performance and the charcoalinstrument were introduced.
・"Himalayan Break collaboration" at the Shinyuri Movie Festival.
・Appeared in "Tatunosuke's Hogaku Jockey" on NHK-FM Radio.
・Composed music for the special edition of "Ikimono chikyu-kikou" on NHK-TV. Released the CD "Beyond the Blue" with OCM.
1999
・He performed with photographs by Wojciech Prazmowski(Polish) at Striped House Museum of Art in Roppongi ,Japan.
・Performed with the slide and video artist, Tao Nashimoto in Tokyo and Niigata.
1998
・He released the CD “Bistaarai Bistaarai”,“Tankinshou”in 1999 with OCM.
1997
・He composed and performed theatrical music with the Yuko Senga'unit in Poland.

・He performed with the piano player, Kensaku Tanikawa at Centre Culturel Franco--Japonais in Paris.
1994
・Mizuno established his own label: Oriental Contemporary Music, and
released the CD“ The Place of Wind and Heart ”,“Rain in the
distance”,and“ Enako”.
1993
・They released the omnibus CD with BMG Victor.
They are creating a new and non-classifiable music in the field of world music.
1989
・He organized the Neo Oriental Session, and the band released CD“ Neutral Point” with the JVC Victor Zen Label.
・He formed the Neo Oriental Second with Takeshi Kobayashi(sitar player).
Neo Oriental Second has elements of jazz, ethnic music, acoustic music, pops and more .
The group is performing distinctive, original and characteristic music.
The tunes are very impressively fresh and appealing to audiences.
They are performing at small live houses, special events,and concert halls, eg Roppongi Pit inn, Shibuya Jean Jean・・・・・.
1980〜1983
・He attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston. During that time,
he played with Makoto Ozone(piano), Dave Kikoski(piano)and other many
musicians.
・After coming back from the US, he performed with many groups,including the Katsuyuki Itakura Trio, Tim Donahue Group,
Joseph Jarman(sax) and others. He played an active part in the
recordings of Toshifumi Hinata's album, Fabio Jeger's (Red Record in
Italy) and so on.
1975
・He organized the Sky Dog Blues Band and released two LP records with Toho and King Record Companies.
The band played and recorded with famous Japanese folksingers； Masaji Otsuka，Masato Tomobe，and others.
Mizuno is always innovating and experimenting with new and creative
sessions with dance, theatrical performances and visual arts.
