INTRODUCTION of the LABEL

OCM Records is an independent label established in 1993 in Ome in Western Tokyo by Shunsuke Mizuno.（Moved to Sagamihara-Shi,Kanagawa,in 2008)
It started from the opportunity to release the first CD "the Neo Oriental Second"
We believe that we can find our peace and healing of heart in Asian music.
Since the time of that release, we have been continuing to create a new concept of an Asian music as a worldwide music.
It has many essences of various different forms of music, but it is not belonging to one category.
We present our natural style of music.
We aim to create music using only the natural acoustic sounds of instruments such as contrabass ,"tan kin" (charcoal instrument), koto,harmonica, piano, shakuhachi, sitar, tabla, guitar, "shou" (Japanese drone harmonica), "hichiriki" (Japanese oboe), Japanese flute, santoor (zither) and so on.
